Shannon Szumanski- Marketing Intern
Meet Shannon, a 30-year-old journalist and advocate on a mission to raise awareness about Spastic Hemiplegia Cerebral Palsy. Shannon believes that having a disability is not a setback but a opportunity to conquer challenges and grow. She aims to reshape the narrative and empower each other to embrace every facet of our journey. Shannon is a lover of music, a connoisseur of coffee, and an unwavering believer in the boundless love of God. Through her journey, Shannon is dedicated to promoting positivity and kindness, values that are much needed in today's world. She believes that together we have the power to make a difference and wants to foster a world where every unique story is not merely accepted but wholeheartedly embraced.

McKinney Waggover - Program Development / OTD student
McKinney has joined the CPP team to develop programming for adults with disabilities in the St. Louis area. She is completing her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy (OTD) at Washington University School of Medicine Program in Occupational Therapy in August of 2024. She is passionate about the value of making social connections and creating a vibrant, accessible community for everyone in St. Louis. McKinney’s passion comes from experience with summer camp programs for children with disabilities and chronic illness, researching the needs of families with autistic children in the St. Louis area, and power wheelchair soccer. In her free time, she enjoys knitting, reading, sports, and spending time with friends.

Anna Montaldo - Executive Director
Anna Montaldo, a dynamic young adult thriving with cerebral palsy, is the visionary founder of CP Life. In 2020, she proudly graduated from high school in St. Louis, marking a significant milestone in her journey that began with the launch of CP Life in 2017. Anna is an alumna of the Boundless Babe Society, an international women-owned group committed to empowering women with disabilities.As the dedicated executive director of the Community Power Project and the 2023-2024 Sartac fellow, Anna is at the forefront of grassroots advocacy, leading initiatives that make a lasting impact. She holds certifications in person-centered planning, CTLC Ambassador Stakeholder facilitation, and Good Life group facilitation.Beyond her professional pursuits, Anna is a passionate advocate for disability awareness, utilizing her artistic talents in art and photography to amplify her message. An avid horseback rider, she finds joy in connecting with others and cherishing moments with friends and family.
